Adolph Rupp won his last NCAA title in 1958 and continued to coach through the 1971-1972 season before retiring. That's 14 years straight years without an NCAA championship, the most of any UK coach.

Calipari won his last NCAA title in 2012 and has now gone 11 years (and counting) without a championship.

Will we give Calipari an opportunity to break Rupp's record of consecutive years without bringing home the bacon?

I HOPE NOT!

Joe B, Steady Eddie, Tubby and Clyde would have all eclipsed that mark, if given the needed tenure.

Rupp built the program, Calipari is destroying it.

Forget about national titles. Not sure Cal will have another SEC title at this point based on the last few years.🤦‍♀️

We went 37 tournaments (59-95) with only 1 title. Now we’ve had just 1 title in 24 seasons and counting.
No more!!!

Well 2015 was Cals year and should have walked away like hall. Now cal is in the running for most despised when he leaves do to the harm caused to the program because of his ego.
Cal lost because his dumbass refused to adjust...he's where he is now because he's a narcissistic jackass, incapable of change, since that woud have meant he was wrong - he would rather lose.

In 2015 he was still in his coaching prime. Plus, who in their right mind would step away after going 38-1 and just missing history? He had some nice teams after that for a while as well.

Right after Covid, well now it’s a different story. When it’s all said and done we may say Cal’s coaching career died of Covid

Let’s see how it all plays out.

I think you can say Cal would go down as having a building/court named for him had he won in 2014 or 2015 and took an NBA job. Instead, he's held on far too long.

72-42 over the last four seasons is a pretty good indication of "seeing how it plays out."

He's finished.
