UK beats Vols....

and takes the series with a 3-1 win tonight at the Cliff. Dustin Beggs was fantastic, going 8 plus innings giving up only 1 run and 5 hits. Vols only avoid 2nd straight shut out with a run in the 9th.
Game 3 tomorrow at noon, will be televised on the SEC network.

Didn't mention that Z Logue came on in the 9th with runners on 1st and 3rd and 0 outs. He got a double play, that was the Vol run, and a groundout to 1st to end the game. Great job by the true freshman from Moeller HS !

Things looking u a bit now with regards to SECT.

UK ahead of UT, a half game up on South Carolina, and neck-and-neck with Georgia.

From the west, UK is ahead of both Alabama and AUburn in the standings.

Vandy, A&M, LSU, and likely UF are all untouchable, but UK can still make some noise. Need a sweep today to make up for the South Carolina and A&M sweeps of us earlier this season.

KY..SC..Ga..ut..Ark..Miss..Aub..MSU..Ala all have between 5-7 wins at the present time...UK's dilemma is that we have series left with Mizzou..Vandy..Fla...Probably not going to make it..
