Just saw that...Very cool! Hope both UK teams can go on and win the series.
Really hoping baseball can get it going in the league. Struggled a bit more than usual in the non conference and got swept at USCe....came back nicely against Miss St, and winning at LSU would do a LOT for their confidence!

Really HUGE wins for both teams too. The ladies entered action a woeful 1-5 in SEC play (six road games so far vs. ranked teams). They really need to take two of three this weekend (to avoid a 2-7 start).
I have to admit, I'm surprised as hell that the baseball team has rallied for three league wins (in four games) after the season opening 0-3 performance down in Columbia. If the Cats could somehow win one more and leave Baton Rouge 4-5, that would be big.

Great job Cats! Love that the baseball team got the win. Do not like the 3 errors and the run given up in the bottom of the 12th, but glad they shut the door.
Resilient win last night. Sounds like Brown battled, the maligned bullpen came up big when called upon, they scratched up just enough offense to generate runs, and they overcame some very costly errors. In watching the highlights from last night, the error in the bottom of the 7th (giving up the lead UK had just earned) looked bad on what was a pretty routine play (5-3). Glad to get a bit of luck with the grounder hitting their baserunner on a ball that looked like it was otherwise going to be a walk-off single. Would be huge if UK can find a way to claw out one more W this weekend a steal a series in Baton Rouge.
By the way, over 11,000 fans were in attendance at Alex Box last night. The folks on Rupps Rafters would be dumbfounded by this, but baseball is far and away the second most popular sport at LSU, ranking behind only football (same thing at Ole Miss and Miss St., at least).

Another big time win for the softball Cats 5-2. A big bottom of the 6th gave UK the lead and Nunley ended up slamming the door to give UK the series win. They could really use a sweep of LSU to make up for their struggles the past two weekends.
Another big win for UK softball, a 5-2 series clinching win over # 1 LSU. The tigers have lost more games the last 20 hours (2), than they had lost all season (1), and that includes winning 2 of 3 at Florida !
