Jan. 16 - Miller Grove H. S., Lithonia, GA; SR, 6’9”, F/C - Lost to St. Anthony 60-48. Who likes to start a game at 11AM? And worse, Tony was called for a deliberate foul (T) at 6:23 of the 1st quarter by the worst ref of the Classic. But the biggest problem for Tony was the fact that he was playing against a Bob Hurley coached team. This guy can flat out COACH! At 3:09 of the 1st quarter Tony picked up a touch foul for foul #2. He was often tripled teamed and got his 1st, and only, FG at 2:17 of the 1st quarter. Tony has the body of Nazr when he was a Frosh. When he loses some weight and get stronger, I believe he will be much better. I don’t want to make the mistake of judging the true Tony Parker by this game, because Miller Grove just didn’t have the personnel or coaching to compete against St. Anthony with Kyle Anderson (Slo-Mo). Even though Tony was often double or triple teamed, Miller Grove wouldn’t, or couldn’t, shoot from outside to open up the middle. Tony appeared to be very frustrated, but that’s what Bob Hurley will do to you. Scored 6 points, 1-7 FG; 4-5 FT; 3 Rebs; 2 Fouls; 3 TO’s; 3 Blks; 28 Min.
