IRA LEE - Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, CA); 2017 C; 6'-8"; 210; 4-Star; 247Sports rank 50; No favorite listed, but has offers from USC, California, Arizona St, and UConn. Ira had his left arm in a sling. He said he tore his labrum diving for a loose ball. Said he will be out for the season, but will be back in time for AAU. You could tell by watching Ira during warm-ups and the game that he really wanted to be able to play. I spoke with his coach, Ty Nichols, and he is really high on Ira. The Sierra Canyon team is young and lacks a knock-down outside shot. Even though Ira is listed as a Center, his coach said he can hit from outside. Sierra Canyon is a new private school 20 minutes from Los Angeles and they can get players from anywhere. For example, teammate Cody Riley hails from Kansas. Maybe Sierra Canyon is following the Findlay Prep model.
