Some NCAA rule changes on the way?

According to it website, the Division I Council met and approved several new proposals. One of them is prospects will no longer be limited to five official visits, and will not have a number cap on the amount they can take. They will only be able to take one official per school unless there is a coaching change then another can be taken. This will take effect July 1.

A very good friend of mine spoke at length Thursday with a prominent college head foot ball coach Tuesday. That coach believes in the next few months the NCAA will legislate that players will have to redshirt for any transfer after the first one. He also had some strong beliefs about punishment for NIL rule violators. He believes the NCAA is keeping tabs on programs who have crossed the line, but I will have to see that one to believe it.
