Murray eyes NBA after Kentucky decision

So Murray says he chose UK because Calipari gets the players to the NBA quickly.

Murray is already projected to go in the first round of the draft next year(apparently top three by one guy), and Calipari hasn't coached him for one second yet. So exactly why do these recruits think that Calipari is going to get them to the NBA quickly when they are projected to be first round picks before they have played one minute for UK?

Calipari fuels his massive ego with the stupidity of other people.

He also said he came to UK to compete for a national title...so learn to read.

He just knows that Cal is gonna be straight with him and advise him to enter the draft if it's truly in the kid's best interests rather than lie to him to try to get him to stay for his own selfish interests.

You know. So he doesn't end up screwing himself over and falling into the 2nd round like Montrezl Harrell.

He has a point though. If Murray is slotted as the #3 pick already after his freshman year, how much quicker can he get there? And how much can his stock rise? But maybe, those projections are what they are, in part, because he committed to UK. Was he slotted as the #3 pick before he chose UK? Maybe the prognosticators take Cal's track record into account. I don't know but that seems reasonable.

Tayshaun Prince has had a 16 year NBA career with a double digit scoring average. You're in too much of a hurry to make a rhetorical flourish. Patterson has done fine, too. You might want to wait until some of these players even step on the floor. As much as any of us would like to, none of us knows what the future holds.

I wasn't bashing either of them. What I'm saying is neither was close to as ready as either of those guys after 1 year.

harrison twins thought the same thing and were both projected lottery picks when they came to kentucky... yikes!

The guy who has Murray #3 is not a professional/expert on the draft. I know rival fans are freaking morons most of the time, but if you claim not to be a moron use your brain and do some research.

Nobody projected Murray top 3 until he commited to UK, now do you understand. That's the Kentucky affect.
