Mad Max: Fury Road

Just got home from seeing it. It was a very entertaining movie. I wasn't sure how good it would be with like 75%+ of it taking place in an almost non-stop road battle, but I was pleasantly pleased. Definitely worth seeing if you are a fan of action movies. I am not sure if this was a reboot or if it was a continuation after the Thunderdome movie. The story could be from right after events of the first Mad Max movie or a whole new take on it.

It's awesome. It's not a reboot, but I know the director said after filming this he has enough material to make two more sequels after this If this one does well, so we will see another one. What I love about it, is its obviously an action film, but it's so unique that you appreciate it for more than that.

What an ever loving train wreck of a movie on the senses. Fantastic visuals and action sequences. GF and I did the Max and Avengers daily double yesterday and we enjoyed both of them very much.

This movie takes all other action movies and kicks them in the face, drags them across the parking lot, then sets them on fire. There just isn't anything to measure this kind of insane action against. It's like seeing p*ssy for the first time. You just sit there with your mouth wide open with a rock hard boner.

This is the greatest action movie of all time. There literally are a dozen action scenes that blow anything ever filmed to pieces. You cannot compare this movie to any other because you've just been beaten to death with a steering wheel and you can't friggen see anymore. So sit there, shut up, then agree with me or I'll set you on fire because that's what this movie does. They should spray you with a hose when it's over.

Remember how the old Rocky movies, you would watch, then come out of theater thinking you were a boxer? Either way, my descriptions suck. Its a mother touching bad ass movie. Nothing like it today. No artsy fartsy romance, or morals to think about, just pure debauchery at its finest.

Agree with the others. It was an assault on the senses. It is one of those movies that makes you want to drive crazy or get in a fight after walking out of the theater.

Can't believe I'm the only one that didn't like it. Literally as our group walked in, the worker at the theatre saw our tickets and said "don't be expecting much" and he was right. I don't want to say it was terrible, but I definitely wasn't great. Don't care if I ever see it again.

I watched it last night with my brother who is in town for a few days. It was exactly what I expected it to be. A bad azz action flick. Tons of holes in the story line...but who GAF about that in a Mad Max movie?

BTW...I would have loved to have been in the production meeting when the idea was hatched to add in the weird guitar playing dude.

Joe: Let's add a scene with a weird guitar playing dude and strap him to the front of one of the vehicles in pursuit of the tanker.

One of the few remakes/sequels/etc where the makers knew exactly what the movie should be and didn't try to make it any more than that. Crazy action/popcorn movie that entertained.

Yea, because I would take the time to reply in this thread just to tell some made up story. "Don't be expecting much" obviously meant "don't expect this to be a great movie or live up to the hype." And it wasn't. It was mediocre. I Heard people saying the same thing as I was walking out of the theatre.

Just because somebody doesn't agree with your opinion, doesn't mean they're lying. I'm sure there's movies that I think are great movies but you don't. Difference of opinions and discussions about them are what These forums are for.

Im not sure what it was that I watched.....but it was awesome. Definitely a must see.
