I thought some one posted here that Ivan had committed to UofL. Am I wrong here???? I just need to increase my post count, sorry.
Wisconsin just came a few possessions short of winning it all without a traditional big on their roster. UConn won a pair of recent titles with big men who would have a hard time making a d-league roster.
The idea that we need some meaty, 260lb big man to win a title is purely mythology. A portion of our fans will use the lack of such a big as their cry wolf mantra all season though. They did the same thing with the 2012 team. We didn't have a beefy big, and these fans just knew it would spell out downfall.

I thought he said something on KSR again yesterday that IF someone is added it'll be right before school starts...big emphasis on IF.
Coach Cal has been especially transparent this offseason, even about recruiting. The UK basketball staff is not a super secretive bunch, they know we have an unquenchable thirst for all things Kentucky basketball. If we were looking to add another big man, I'm almost certain Cal would've at least said something like, "We're keeping an ear to the ground"
To me its pretty clear that the focus has 100% shifted to the 2016 class and when Calipari spoke recently he said 2016 could be our best class, which gave me every indication that he has his roster set for this season and he is now thinking about the future. If Matt Jones is still continuing on about how we maybe will add a big man, IF such and such happens and blah blah blah, then I don't understand why anyone believes him. He is so clearly full of shit and I don't understand why he is getting the benefit of the doubt on this.

So what? Jones was obviously talking about him, I realize I was wrong. Its not a big deal to me. You've been talking about Humphries for awhile and like I said Jones never mentioned him by name, so its not like Matt knew about a guy that we've never heard of.
While admitting you are wrong you still try to put Matt down. Just accept that he has real sources and that he called this long ago. You will then fill much better.
After this summer, I have new respect for Jones.

Fill much better? I don't feel bad about it as it is, I even said that I would acknowledge it if I was wrong, which I did. Still not going to crown Matt the King for something that Gonzo was onto and more detailed about before Matt ever mentioned it.
