Didn't show a lot, but is very quick and takes it to the hoop. Missed most of his 3's.
12/20/2014 lost to Montverde Academy (Montverde, FL) 59 - 62; FG 8/13; 3's 2/3; FT 7/7; Reb 4; PF 1; TP 25; A 5; TO 3; Bk 1; Stl 1; Min 32:00 - Took the ball the length of the court for a layup to beat the clock at the end of the 1st quarter. Hops. Not sure about his form on his J. Seems to launch the ball from his shoulder. Nice PG. Finished off some tough layups. Blocked a Ben Simmons put back from behind. The more I see him, the more I like him.
12/22/2014 beat Oak Ridge (Orlando, FL) with Antonio Blakeney 85 - 75; ; FG 13/19; 3's 2/4; FT 9/13; Reb 7; PF 3; TP 37; A 3; TO 1; Bk 0; Stl 1; Min 30:16 - The more I have seen this junior this week, the more I like him. If Blakeney guarded him to show coaches he is the better PG, that effort failed today. What did Simmons do today? Nice jab step and drive to his right; a 3 from the corner; push off the D & hit a 3; drive off a break; slam from wing on a break; and follow up of airball. 17 points at the half. Second half he showed baseline J; took a bump on the drive and floated away for 2; on a drive he faked a behind-the-back pass and went in for a layup; missed 3 tips and then made the putback. He was definitely making a statement this 37-point game!
12/23/2014 beat Paul VI (Fairfax, FA) 77 - 60; FG 8/14; 3's 4/7; FT 6/8; Reb 3; PF 2; TP 26; A 7; TO 2; Bk 0; Stl 0; Min 30:46 - Got a slam in a play off the opening tip. Another great game. I've said about all I can say about him. He has taken 2 visits to UK and said he enjoyed both visits. I hope Cal can get him for the Cats!
