No one seems to know exactly what this means, but Kansas AND THE BIG-12 have preemptively sought some sort of "alternative" to sanctions being considered by the independent group that they asked to decide their punishment.

Remember, any sanctions by the group, the IARP cannot be appealed. So it looks like Kansas is trying to get out ahead of that and beat the rap.

One thought -- it is possible this means they have gotten word that the board DOES plan significant punishment and this is a last ditch effort to prevent that.

But it appears no one knows for sure.

The only safe bet -- the Cheaters are hoping to get away with it by further lawyering the case. Pathetic and infuriating.

Should be post seasons ban and loss of wins.

They need/should proceed to get bent over.
