UK has been in on King's recruitment since last year, at least. King originally played at St. Vincent St. Mary's (Lebron's alma mater) but transferred this year. Pretty good looking prospect. Don't know if Cal is making him a priority though with Tatum, Giles and Jackson all higher ranked recruits UK is recruiting hard at the forward position.
From that article it sounds like UK isn't showing him much interest. He is 2016 so wouldn't help us this season.
Kentucky offered him last July. He did well at the Fiba under 17 world championships in Dubai in August if anyone watched that. This January, he said Kentucky was one of the schools recruiting him the hardest

I think they will really turn up the heat on King if Tatum chooses another school. Fwiw I like King a lot.
I did watch The FIBA. It was then I wanted Diamond Stone more than any recruit. He absolutely killed the competition with his inside game, and outside mid range j. He will be a load next year. I was thinking, this guy is a more athletic, has a better perimeter game than Cousins. Reminded me a lot of Cousins, and not because he wore number 15. They beat Japan 125 to 40 or something like that.
