Plays big! Handles the ball well. Plays above the rim. Outside shooting was so-so, most points seem to be off dunks. Early in the season, and with missing last season, Giles is not in game shape yet. Team played zone D, but doesn't move his feet well on D. Typical high school big man on D, but this will change if Cal gets the chance to coach him.

Block at the rim on Cage. Shoots free throws well. Another block on Cage. Ran the floor and slammed a rebound. Asserting himself much more than he did in the first game. You heard of a quiet 25 points? Giles had a NOISY 25 today! Roy Williams was here for his game.
12/22/2014 lost to Wheeler (Marietta, GA) with Jaylen Brown 70 - 76 - FG 6/12; 3's 2/3; FT 0/3; Reb 11; PF 4; TP 14; A 5; TO 1; Bk 2; Stl 0; Min 27:28 - Would love to see this matchup in February when Giles should be rounding into shape. I look forward to seeing him at the HoopHall Classic in January, too. It's hard to believe that a junior of his height can do what he does with the ball. Just a terrific contest featuring 2 5-stars.
2/23/2014 beat Trinity H.S. (Louisville, KY) with Raymond Spalding 51 - 47 - FG 12/20; 3's 0/1; FT 0/0; Reb 12; PF 1; TP 24; A 2; TO 1; Bk 1; Stl 1; Min 28:42 - Had 7 dunks. Other than that, and the fact he made Spalding look weak, I didn't make many notes about this game. After 32 games in the past 5 days, I just wanted to watch and enjoy.
