We love watching this brand of basketball we've been playing this year. Doesn't surprise me in the least. This team is FUN.
I'm a little surprised because of the bowl game today.
Not necessarily, I think the Football crowd will be exceptional today. We love games in warm climates in December!
There's nothing more meaningless than a college football bowl game.
Bowl Payouts, National Exposure, player experience, more practice. There are many perks of playing in a post season bowl game.
And for the fans that love the sport and the team they cheer for, it's another chance to enjoy another opportunity to just be a fan.
Yes, In one way but it has some great meaning when we are talking about extra practice time, getting our 2's reps in practice and getting a jump start on next year. Also has some meaning for fans as we get to see the team one last time this year. I know the 4 straight bowl wins was nice and last year with out opt outs and the blowout loss to Iowa left the hangover of the loss till fall. If we beat Clemson then we go into spring with momentum.
There is definitely a lot of Blue out and about today. I love these double header days with both Football and Basketball in the same day!
Along the same lines as a post season bowl, it is more practice time. Granted the big game payout isn't there, but to players and fans it's still a chance at redemption, along with building some momentum going into the off-season.
There was a time when a basketball sellout would not be news. And that was when Rupp held 24,000+.
Wonder what the scanned attendance will be. Surprised upper student section tickets sold.
Not for UK, we need the exposure for recruiting and to give the younger players more practice time and game time. Come on 💩
Eh...the poster isn't entirely wrong. Especially since the college football playoff was established, guys are now sitting out left and right. This wasn't a big issue at all pre playoff.
Also, who wants to watch a bunch of mediocre 6-6 to 8-4 teams playing mediocre football against each other. Crappy product.
This. It was fun when UK rarely went to one. But now, the football team needs to take the next step. Just not sure that’s possible.

That doesn't take away from the fact that UK is a mediocre football program, playing another mediocre team, in a mediocre bowl game. Sorry if that fact bothers you.

Yep, "sold out" doesn't guarantee a full arena. Pretty sure some of those big $$$ seats in Rupp are held by many who were in Florida today. Does UK even still make public the scanned ticket totals?
