I hate EKU and I'm fine with us dropping them, but if you're going over a few fights caught on tape you need to relax. Our football players have been beating the hell out of UK students for years.
Has to do with the fact that I haven't heard one public apology coming out of that program. All the drunks and pillheads go there anyways, won't be missed.
So players of two teams get into a fight so they should never play each other.

I agree with cat daddy. Murray and Morehead need our money too. And we got no reason to keep giving it to eastern. If they're not going to discipline their football team, we'll take matters in our own hands. Think of it as a public service to the whole state of kentucky.

This is about respect. We pay EKU a helluva lot of money to play us in bball and football. They evidently don't need our money. Like others said, I'd rather give it to Murray or Morehead. They are as classless as the UL team but unfortunately we're stuck with those douchebags 4ever.
There is absolutely no reason that EKU has not publicly apologized for this instance, have not publicly disciplined Gadfly, and if he plays against us I hope we take him out. End his f'ing career out. That sucker punch was bush league, could have seriously, seriously injured our QB of the future and the irony of wearing an 'I can't breathe' t-shirt shows what a moron he is, who cares more about slogans than what his actions represent.

As for the topic, I could care less if we play any KY school or not. I'd much rather play more interesting OOC opponents than WKU, Murray, EKU, etc.
The question remains what was Barker, Dubose, and Baker doing at Telford Hall, on Easterns campus ? They are UK students, not Eastern students. They have been cleared, a shame Barker got sucker punched, but lesson learned hopefully, stay at your own school, and stay out of bars and night clubs !
UK is not playing Morehead in football because they are a non-scholarship Division 1 program. Not sure why UK doesnt play Murray in football anymore or ever in bball.

Even though the games are rarely competitive, there is local interest, and this game will draw more than a game against another FCS team (like UT-Martin or Charleston Southern) due to the proximity of the fan bases. The only difference in this situation and the 5000 times in the past UK/EKU football players have clashed in downtown Richmond is that we are in the age of social media now.

Guys i've been a UK fan for my whole life and I'm currently attending EKU ;I'm piseed at the sucker punch, please keep in mind their probably more UK fans at EKU than Colonel fans. Easier for folks in Southeastern KY. Just saying.
It sound like the Eastern boys are a little touchy about the UK boys coming down to Richmond and hitting on what they consider their girls. Then you figure in that Gafree was butt hurt because he was told he was not talented enough to play at UK and asked to move on. This was a turf war.
I've seen the video, which is awful. I wish our boys would have stepped up a little more to defend their quarterback. Dorian looked fairly drunk on the video, holding himself up with the counter. Nonetheless, I would expect Drew, who is trying to win a starting SEC quarterback spot, to not be there. All of the "boys will be boys" bs works unless you are trying to beat someone out for a starting SEC quarterback position. Where was Towles that night? BTW, it isn't 18 to get into bars in Richmond anymore. They either had fake IDS or someone let them in that should not have.
I can't believe one of you suggested that UK students should not be on another campus to date a girl. That's really stupid. The mistake was going there after a fight in a bar in which an EKU football player got his come upperance. That was not good thinking. I certainly dated a girl who attended Georgetown and another that attended Villa Madonna(northern KY) so you know where I'm coming from.
Overreaction. I have never had any enthusiasm for playing EKU in any sport, but there is a political angle because they are an instate neighbor. I really don't care if we never play them again, but you don't make a punitive decision like that against another instate school just because of a couple of idiot players who are now being kicked off their team.
Are there a law against that? You mean you can't walk into buildings without being attacked.... You're talking gang turf? No, this is a civil state and people can walk into places without having to fear for their life.... Anyway, they were bringing a girl home, supposedly.... Anything wrong with that?
No law against it, but a little common sense will tell you not to go to a team's dorm after you get into a fight in a bar with players from that team.
