Nah man. It’s because drew literally should be the 6-7th option. Period. We all lived through Bcg with our nightmare AD. Then the contract. Now he is hiring based on his personal experience not what’s the best fit for the school. This guy underachieves year one and he’s toast and I expect a new coach to have us competitive enough to make a sweet sixteen. It sucks so bad how the expectations have sharply dropped.

the simple questions, why would he leave Baylor? what connection does he have that would bring him here? to make another $1MM on his contract? he's got a top 15 rated class coming in. he lives in a state with more money than ours. coaches with titles rarely ever leave for another school. he's a legend in waco. he doesn't have to stress over his fan base. he probably doesn't have NIL worries. his facilities are probably better. the weather is nicer there. TX doesn't have state income tax so he keeps more of his contract so giving him $1MM isn't really that much if he's paying more in taxes. so to summarize, you can't pay him more, recruiting won't get much better than he can do already, and he had no pressure where he is. so why come to uk? what is the allure for him? and why would winning a title at uk be more important than winning a second one at baylor? all things to ponder.
