Wonder what the average ppg given up on the defensive side were at the same point?

I posted season totals in comp to '96 in another thread last night.

Through 12 games:

'96 was 11-1, 91.8 - 70.0

'24 is 10-2, 91.1 - 73.4

Biggest difference is in '96 we won a pre-coference game over Morehead 96-32. That really pulled defensive ppg average down. If that game was like most of the others (say 65 pts for opponent) the stats would be almost identical at 73ppg given up through 12 games.
 
Cool fact: It's also the first UK team since 1998 with a player named Sheppard on it. Coincidence?
