College shot clock moving to 30 seconds

Love it. Now if only they added a 6th foul, widened the lane, got rid of the block/charge call(not offensive foul but that specific call), and made more certain plays reviewable from further out than just 2 minutes, say the last 5.

Does that mean we would have had 4 shot clock violations in the last 4 min in the Wisconsin game? Lol
I can't see it changing the game any. Need to do away with those time consuming replays if you want a shorter game. Also don't penalize the defense for forcing a turnover when the arrow favors the offense

Like spraying perfume on a pig. The problem with the game is the way teams are allowed to play defense, they have to call the fouls, they could go to a 24 sec clock and it still wouldn't make for a better game

Yes but this is at least a start.

It's insane to me that the women's game has been at 30 while the men's game has struggled to catch up.

What this will do at the very least is make teams start their offenses early. So much of the time teams don't even start their offense until 15 or so on the shot clock. This will create for an uglier game in the short-term; long-term it will lead to a way more fluid, aesthetically pleasing sport.

But next they have to address the physicality, the hand checks, the charge/block. No question.

if you are going to keep the physical play the way it is...a shortened shot clock makes it easier to play defense, not harder.

need to bring back freedom of movement. get rid of charge ball and blocking cutters
