Anthony Davis had a very short lived playoff run this year (at no fault to him, probably more of a fault of Monte Williams, but who's pointing fingers?)
That said, in those 4 playoff games, what AD did was nothing short of spectacular. Neat little facts just cited by ESPN.

1. Only four players have ever went for 30 points and 10 rebounds in their first 4 playoff games. Those players are Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bob McAdoo, and Anthony Davis.

2. Only three players at the age of 22 or younger have ever scored 25 points in their first 4 playoff games. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis.

**Other possible factoid (Though it isn't confirmed)**

Anthony Davis may be the only player at the age of 22 or under to ever score 30 points and get 10 rebounds in his first 4 playoff games. The only other player who has possibly done that is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

AD is insane. May very well end up being the best player to ever play in the NBA from Kentucky, and possibly by a large margin.

Every single time that dude does something it's "the first since Wilt" or "the first since Kareem" or "the first since Olajuwon." The company he's already keeping, and the amount of improvement he has left is mindboggling. He is legitimately on pace to be one of the best ever, health, longevity, team, etc. permitting.

He's in 'pretty good' company.;)

He's already a top 5 player in the league. Looking forward to him going head to head vs Durant,Kawhi over the next 7-8 years in the west.

The league is in great hands over the next 7-10 years. Durant, AD, Westbrook, Kawhi, Irving, Cousins, Lillard, Wall, Curry, Draymond, Klay, Harden, Wiggins, Blake. That's a lot of talent under 27-28 and I'm leaving off guys.

They were there because of him. Had he done a better job on Draymon Green they would be in 2-2 series and not watching the rest of the playoffs at home. Some of that is on Williams too though. Switching all those screens on Thompson and Curry wasn't the brightest strategy. AD still had a great series though. Green benefited from that tremendously.

Unreal. thanks for posting this.

if they had a coach that actually fed him the ball we would prolly be saying things like 'only player ever too.....'

It's not Monte Williams fault New Orleans does't have much talent outside of Davis.

They have enough talent to get a 20 point lead on Golden State by the 4th quarter, but a coach who can't make any adjustments to hold onto it for the win.

When all the team in the west are at full strength, Holiday at PG would be the only NO player who could possibly start for any other team in the west

Thanks for the info. I don't watch the NBA, but I did watch AD in the last qtr of one playoff game last week where scored like 20 pts in the 4th qtr alone. That's the first time I had watched him, except for highlights.

Which were better than a lot of the black guys today.
How did UK fare against the white boys from Whisky 3 weeks ago? Should we take that game as a grain of salt? There are more talented blacks playing college basketball than whites now for sure but there are reasons.
Kids are playing different sports now (soccer, lacrosse, etc). Some are not even playing sports but working or going to school.
I don't care for generalized statements like that. You can play or you cant but skin color is not the reason. That is like saying Tony Dungy won the Superbowl because he had Peyton Manning as a quarterback.

Yet Reke has looked better at pg than Jrue this year even when Jrue was healthy
Thing is that you are ignoring fit, and he would be a horrible fit at PG for just about every single playoff team because of his inability to shoot and play defense. He's more talented than what Houston and Dallas is rolling out at PG but doesn't fit as well. And he has struggled in both Sacramento and New Orleans when they tried to make him play off the ball at SG and SF.

But the last season Jrue was healthy he was an All-Star in Philly, which Tyreke has never come close to being.

Jrue was an Allstar because he was in the East. Tyreke has played in the West his entire career so of course he hasn't come close to making the all-star game and Jrue wouldn't either if he played in the West his entire career.

Speaking of Jrue with New Orleans they will regret trading Noel for him on draft night

Tyreke never would have been an All-Star in any season no matter what conference he was in. But yes in hindsight they will regret the trade, unlucky for them that Holiday hasn't been able to stay healthy, averaged 17 and 8 in Philly, could have done better than that in NO, at least passing, with Davis on the roster. Hard to give your best when getting hurt every two weeks.

Tyreke averaged 20,5,5 as a rookie if he was in the East he would have had a shot. The environment in Sacramento is terrible which is a very underrated factor in him regressing there. Hopefully Cousins is out of there soon

I like Jrue though he was underrated at one point in my eyes but I don't think his injury really made much of difference this series.

The injury didn't make a difference in the series, but I never said it did either. He clearly was nowhere close to 100% since he was on a minutes limitation.

Bluegrassfan79 disappeared real quick after his asinine predictions...
