19 commitments for our 2016 class on the home page. 22 new players signed in February, 4 of them practiced with our team in April. According to Kentucky's official website, 67 players return on scholarship, including 17 seniors. 18 new players are supposed to join our team next month. If everyone shows up, that makes a full roster of 85. So Coach Stoops can sign 17 new players in 2016, plus an additional number equal to how many underclassmen leave the program. Every year, a few underclassmen leave. 4 year juniors Zack Myers and Zack Blaylock may take early graduation. Maybe we sign 22 again, like last year. Time will tell. We already have 19 commitments, and most people think de-commitments will be fewer than last year. Stoops needs another safety, defensive end, outside linebacker, receiver, offensive tackle, but the class is close to complete. I won't make predictions about individual players, since everyone has their own ideas. But this class is deep and well balanced. In quality and balance, not quite as good so far as our 2014 class on the offensive side. But already better on the defensive side, especially the front 7. Some interesting trends. Stoops and Dawson are building a deep group of big, physical receivers for the passing attack Dawson wants. The transition to the 3-4 roster continues, and quality depth is being built in our front 7. The test of a 3-4 is whether it can stop the run, which means being physical and deep. Stoops seems to be stocking up to get it done upfront.
