2016 elite wing Miles Bridges wants a UK offer

247 currently has him ranked as the #23 player in the class and the 3rd rated small forward. I think I've seen his name mentioned in passing before. He had 34 and 17 this past Sunday.

There are a ton of wing players in the 2016 class. Jayson Tatum, VJ King, and Josh Langford all appear to be on UK's radar (and if there's any chance of Josh Jackson playing college ball, hopefully him too). This might just be a case where Cal has someone else in mind.

Most of the times this has happened, it's worked out pretty well (like the Chris Walker brush-off to wait out Julius Randle).

I think he was mostly turned off by Walker's mouth. He did the same thing with Tony Wroten.

I hope he casts a wide net at SF. Bridges is very intriguing...already filled out and has a nice shooting form. With Tatum likely to Duke and Jackson to overseas, would be good to grab someone early. King can play SG. Langford will be interesting to see how well Avery recruits.

Walker turned out to have zero game, but don't act like that was obvious when he was in HS. He was (and still is) a 6'9"-6'10" freak athlete who everyone had rated in the top 10 of what was considered a really strong class, and a projected lottery pick. Whatever's gone wrong for him since then, everyone thought he had monster potential.

Then why was he rated no lower than 12 by any scouting service, with a composite rating ahead of Noah Vonleh?

Claiming 20/20 hindsight is not particularly impressive.
