I don't see Ulis or Briscoe listed on the mock drafts for 2016.

I think it's safe to assume we will have a junior Ulis, a sophomore Matthews, and a sophomore Briscoe.

That's the kind of backcourt that can win a championship.

After the Booker draft stock rise, I wouldn't be surprised to see Briscoe bolt after a year. Even if he does, I like UK's chances with Simmons and perhaps even Monk.

I also like your overall view here. Calipari will have some solid retention going into the 16-17 season, with a probable core of Mulder, Matthews, Ulis, Willis, and Hawkins. Perhaps Lee even sticks around for a fourth season.

Good thread, sir.

briscoe is one and done imo. he's going to be talked about all year because he's good. so glad he's a cat.

16-17 is 2 years away. I am more curious to see what rabbits Cal pulls out of his hat to complete our recruiting class. Next year may be even better for us than this year.

Twins were bigger and stronger but Tyler and Briscoe are quicker. We may be better as a team on the perimeter. I liked Trey lyles but he should have been a 4. Matthews is consistent and can do everything well at the 3. Down low we will be ok with skal, lee, and ap.

Tyler is a natural pg. Better passer than Andrew.

Briscoe handles the ball better than Aaron. He looks to be a better scorer as well (consistent for sure but in the clutch?).

I think we will lose some games early but will hard to be beat at the end of the year. GBB

Briscoe will most likely bounce after this season. But the class of 2016 is LOADED. We will get 5-6 guys from this class. Simmons, Monk, Jackson, Azubuike, Giles and King are my way too early guesses.

He's not listed.

Not listed on draftnet either.

Here's the two I was looking at it. He's listed at #12 on both.

Not sure why he's not even listed anywhere in the first two rounds on either. Bet it's a some type of mistake because if you go here ---> http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Isaiah-Briscoe-7140/mock-draft-history/ and scroll to the bottom he's sitting at #12 there as well on that graph as of 4/25/15

Your post has nothing to do with 2016-17 team. Why even write these paragraphs?

I think Briscoe will be gone.

We'll have this returning core, IMHO:

G Ulis(JR)
G Hawkins(SR)
G Mulder(if he signs)(SR)
G Matthews(SO)
F Willis(SR)
F Wynyard(SO)
F Lee(unless he has a big year)(SR)

Add in 2-3 elite recruits and that will be our team.

Right now we are the leader for Kobie Simmons. Monk watches all of our games. Just offered another 5 star Langford. Would really like to have Tatum, us or Duke? Giles and Battle are trending Duke right now it seems. Battle a 6-6 2 guard, how about Kennard?

This early Cal seems to really like Giles, Tatum, Simmons and Monk. Of course that will change as time goes on.
